Welcome to my electronic portfolio!

This site highlights my professional skills and the experiences I have had in public health over the last ten years, including my time in the Master of Public Health Program at San Francisco State University.

I was introduced to public health through volunteering with the American Lung Association in Seattle, where I worked with individuals in their home to make their home environments safe and healthy. I continued my work in public health by volunteering on the California AIDS hotline and working with formerly homeless adults to get them back to work.

The MPH program at SFSU helped me hone my public health skills through practice-based experiences. I have had the opportunity to learn and practice public health through a lens of social justice. A socially just approach to health looks at the intersection of social, economic, and environmental determinants that impacts the health of communities. As a woman of color, I feel compelled to work to end disparities in health and address the injustices in healthcare delivery that disproportionately affects communities of color.

Please feel free to browse through my portfolio by selecting from the menu items to the left and contact me if you have any questions or comments.
